Salvador Celebrates the Power of Sustainability in a Historic Night of Tributes and Environmental Mobilization
The city of Salvador experienced a memorable night of awareness, culture, and recognition last Friday, May 29th, during the presentation of the Certificate for the Preservation of Clean Beaches, held at the elegant Terraço Brisa do Mar, located in the Farol Barra Flat, in Barra.
Conceived and coordinated by cultural producer, journalist, and environmental activist Luzia Moraes, the event reinforced the importance of the union between culture, environmental education, and social responsibility.
The opening act was by renowned percussionist Silvana Ferreira and her group, who brought the ancestral power of the Xequerê to the audience in a vibrant performance. During the ceremony, guests enjoyed an exquisite toast offered by the Garibaldi Wine Cooperative, featuring its award-winning sparkling wines from Serra Gaúcha and the distinguished presence of its representative, Rochane Caires, as well as a delicious spread of savory snacks prepared by the Gente Que Brilha Collective and Dira Ramos, hostess of Terraço Brisa do Mar.
The evening also included special performances by singers Kid Perona and Ruth Helena, live painting with visual artist Vivian d'Utra, the moving participation of the SindSaúde Bahia Choir, and the contagious show by the Banda Cura.
Among those honored that evening were Fátima Dantas (TV Estado), Edson Ferreira (Gente Que Brilha), Tânia Regina (Búzio e Art), Karin Faleiro, Ana Paula Nobre, HECAM, Doinha Prata, Deo Carvalho, Chá Rize, Carlos Leal, IODDEB, Vivian d'Utra, Caroline Silva, Rairam Douglas, Rochane Caires, representing the Garibaldi Wine Cooperative, Coral SindSaúde Bahia, Bernadete Anunciação, Silvana Ferreira, Carlão Moraes, Fellipe Barros, Ruth Helena, Banda Cura, Kid Perona, Dira Ramos, Paola Dalva Kaká, Patrícia Del Carmo, and Humberto Aguiar.
The event also received extensive coverage from the Bahian press, with the presence of media outlets and broadcasters such as EI VC TÁ AÍ?!, Programa Metanóia na TV – Band Bahia, TV Estado, TV e Canal Todo Canto, Lizia Cardoso, Edson Ferreira, Mário Tourinho, Carlão Moraes, BlogueraSSA, Portal Muita Informação, among others.
