Grandparents' Day Celebrates Stories of Overcoming Challenges, Art, and Wisdom that Inspire Generations
This Sunday, July 26th, the world celebrates Grandparents' Day, a date dedicated to recognizing the love, dedication, and teachings of those who play a fundamental role in the formation of families and society. The celebration honors Saint Joachim and Saint Anne, parents of Mary and grandparents of Jesus Christ, according to the tradition of the Catholic Church.
The date is also a special moment to highlight inspiring journeys, such as that of the artisan Joana Lopes, 83 years old, affectionately known as "Ju Fuxiqueira". Recognized for her work with recycled fabrics and for valuing sustainable crafts, Joana won second place in the costume design contest of the Balaio Verde Project, conceived by environmental activist, journalist, and columnist Luzia Moraes, with a costume made for the journalist, presenter, and CEO of Rádio Doinha Prata Web FM, Brazil, Africa, Portugal, and Jamaica, in addition to the programs EI!!! Are You There?! and the Voice of Angola, hosted by Angolan journalist, writer, and speaker Azenaida Miguel.
Another honoree is Odete Crispina, a reference of talent, resilience, and love for popular culture. At 78 years old, she remains active as a percussionist, artisan, dancer, storyteller, actress, and voice actress. In her artistic career, she has worked alongside names like Magary Lord, Wilson Café, and Sarajane, accumulating experiences that enrich Bahian culture.
Odete is part of the traditional group Samba de Roda Vida e Tradição, conceived and led by vocalist Glofeuda (Kell). With over 15 years of history, the group has Ivanzinho Pacapuco as its teacher and master, responsible for teaching, guiding, and transmitting knowledge to its members for eight years. Under his leadership, the project strengthens the preservation of the roots of samba de roda and contributes to the cultural development of its participants.
On this Grandparents' Day, the tribute extends to all grandfathers and grandmothers on the planet, especially those who, through art, education, culture, and love, leave eternal marks on the generations that succeed them.
More than celebrating a date, July 26th is an opportunity to thank grandparents for their legacy of affection, wisdom, and inspiration—values that continue to transform lives and strengthen families around the world.

"The Beauty That Time Has Not Erased"
Súca Anjos Debuts on the Runway at 63 and Advocates for a Purposeful Fashion
At 64, Súca Anjos proves that dreams have no expiration date. Born in Salvador and raised in São Paulo, the senior model, actress, and social celebrant began her runway career at 63, after being discovered by the May Agency. Her debut was modeling for the Dressed brand.
The daughter of a carpenter and an extraordinary woman who raised 11 children with limited resources, Súca grew up in a reality of scarcity. It was by adapting donated clothes that she discovered, as a young girl, the power of fashion as an expression of identity, dignity, and care. A graduate in Business Administration, she worked as a nanny, domestic worker, factory worker, and in an office before rediscovering the dream she had carried since childhood.
Today, she represents the 60+ generation on the catwalk and believes that fashion goes far beyond aesthetics: it's a tool for representation, inclusion, authenticity, transformation, and awareness. Besides modeling, she also works as an actress and social celebrant, uniting art, emotion, and purpose in everything she does.
In her three pillars, as an actress, she portrays stories; as a celebrant, she tells stories; and as a senior model, she embodies stories.
“Some dreams don't have an expiration date. They simply transcend time.”
Súca Anjos, 64 years old
Born in Salvador (BA) | Senior Model, Actress and Social Celebrant

Gonorréia Enters History and Consolidates Bahian Rock as Cultural Heritage
The historic band Gonorréia, one of the greatest symbols of Bahian punk rock in the 1980s, has just achieved an important recognition: it has become part of the collection of the City of Music of Bahia, a space dedicated to preserving the musical memory of the state and recognized as Bahian historical heritage.
Founded by Eduardo Scott, the band made its mark alongside names like Camisa de Vênus, Trem Fantasma, and Delirium Tremens, becoming one of the main references for rock produced in Salvador. Their performances in alternative spaces, such as Circo Relâmpago and Circo Troca de Segredos, helped strengthen the underground scene in the Bahian capital.
With its inclusion in the City of Music of Bahia, located in the Casarão dos Azulejos Azuis, in Comércio, opposite the Mercado Modelo, Gonorréia's trajectory is preserved for future generations, reaffirming the importance of rock in the construction of Bahia's cultural diversity and Brazilian music.

In a trajectory marked by sensitivity and commitment to human dignity, the social security lawyer is the protagonist of the new edition of the magazine, launched during an event held at the historic Tiradentes Palace in Rio de Janeiro.
There are stories that cannot be told only by the results they have achieved, but by the lives they have helped to transform.
It is precisely this essence that guides the cover story of the 20th edition of Tok Entrepreneurship Magazine, which presents to readers the trajectory of lawyer Suelen Garcia de Paula, partner at Buono Advogados, a professional who has made Social Security Law an instrument of support, protection and hope for thousands of families.
Launched on a special night at the Tiradentes Palace in Rio de Janeiro, the new edition of the magazine highlights women and entrepreneurs who transform their professions into a legacy. Among them, Suelen graces the pages of the publication with the report "The Power of the Human Gaze," which reveals a career built on values that go far beyond legal technique.
Alongside her husband and partner, Fernando Buono, she has developed a way of working in which each client is received as a unique story. For Suelen, no case represents just documents or deadlines. Each consultation carries dreams, challenges, insecurities, and the expectation of someone seeking to start over with dignity.
The report also traces her personal journey, from her childhood in a humble family to the consolidation of a career recognized for its humanized approach. Wife, mother of two girls, and businesswoman, Suelen found in her own story the inspiration to practice law based on listening, respect, and care for people.
More than celebrating an outstanding professional, the 20th edition of Tok de Empreendedorismo Magazine pays tribute to a woman who chose to transform knowledge into purpose and make Law a tool capable of restoring hope to those who need it most.

BNI Planner Celebrates First Million While the Second Already Appears on the Horizon
Some numbers fit in a spreadsheet. Others gain a face, a story, and a memory.
Launched in September 2025, BNI Planner reached its first million in business generated by members in just a few months. On July 11, 2026, the group gathered to celebrate this achievement.
According to Érica Kniezel, consulting director of the BNI Planner Group, the first million had already been reached before the party. Now, the group is approaching R$ 2 million.
An achievement built by many hands
The Million Party brought together members and their families for an evening of joy, affection, and belonging.
The result does not belong to a single company. It represents entrepreneurs who decided to share paths, open doors, generate referrals, and contribute to each other's growth.
The celebration featured delicious food prepared by Enovi Buffet & Events, live music with Ronnye Kassio and Messias Xavier, members of the Banda Conexão Jah, and ended with a lively square dance.
That night, the million ceased to be just a number.
It became a hug, music, a meeting, and a memory.
In the BNI Planner, each member helps the other grow.
Within the group, participants learn about each other's services, differentiators, and ideal client profiles. This allows them to recognize opportunities and generate business referrals with more confidence.
In practice, each member becomes part of the others' sales team.
Business owners interested in expanding their network can attend a BNI Planner meeting, held at Terra dos Dinos, on the third floor of ParkJacarepaguá, in Jacarepaguá.
Perhaps the next partnership will begin with a conversation.
The first million became a party.
The second is approaching.
May the Two Million Party come soon.
