Arroyo Ceballos honored by the Mayor of Newark

Award ceremony

The recognition to the Cordoban author for his artistic work has been granted by the Mayor's Office of Newark, New Jersey

On the emblematic stage of the Newark Symphony Hall and within the framework of celebrations for Hispanic Heritage Month, a month of Hispanic heritage in which the contribution of Latinos to American life is highlighted, a special event was held chaired by the mayor of said city, Ras J. Baraka, in which, among others, the cultural artistic work of the multidisciplinary Andalusian creator Francisco Arroyo Ceballos was recognized.

On behalf of the author who could not attend due to personal reasons, Diego Muñoz (President of the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce of NEW JERSEY) received his recognition from Jaqueline Mercado Quiles (Vice Mayor of NEWARK).

The anecdote of the event was that the winner of police officer of the year had the same last name as Arroyo and posed with his recognition.

It should be noted that this recognition is accompanied by a pictorial exhibition in said auditorium of the award-winning 3.0 project that Arroyo Ceballos shares with his colleagues Gotasi and José Domínguez and that they have been carrying out in prominent locations in the United States such as the Consulate General of Ecuador in New York, the Union City Museum in New Jersey, the Fraser Mansion - Scientology National Affairs Office in Washington, the Essex County College in Newark, the Newark City Hall or more recently the Plainfield Performing Arts in New Jersey.

Arroyo Ceballos is a multidisciplinary artist with around 140 exhibitions and works in more than 30 institutions and museums in a dozen countries. Appointed in Paris in 2015 as a member of the International Association of Art Critics AICA, he is Director of Espacio Cultura magazine, President of the Andalusian Association for the Promotion of Culture cREA and Delegate of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors AEPE.
