ABAV Bahia Recognizes Personalities Who Strengthen Tourism in Camamu Bay During ABAV Expo 2026

The “Friends of the Destination” award highlighted professionals, companies, and institutions that contribute to promoting Bahia and increasing the visibility of Camamu Bay in the national tourism market. The strength, beauty, and tourism potential of Camamu Bay, in Bahia, were highlighted during ABAV Expo 2026 in São Paulo, considered one of the main tourism events in Latin America. In an initiative marked by the appreciation of strategic partners in the sector, ABAV Bahia presented the “Friends of the Destination” award, honoring agents, entrepreneurs, companies, operators, institutions, and personalities who contribute to strengthening tourism, hospitality, gastronomy, and the promotion of destinations in the region. Pedro Marcos Cayres Gramacho, Director of National and International Promotion of the Bahia State Tourism Secretariat (Setur-BA), received the recognition for his contribution to the promotion and enhancement of the destination. Gramacho participated in the meeting representing the Secretary of Tourism of the State of Bahia, Maurício Barcelar. Among those honored are: Daniel Firmino; Aroldo Simões; Richard Alves; Bancorbrás; Orinter; CVC Corp; CVC Viagens; Azul; Be Fly; Trend Viagens; Visual Turismo; Schutz Operadora; Cativa Operadora; Maurício Barcelar; Taluana Maron; Luiz Borges; Pedro Gramacho; Rogério Pereira; Abreu; Decolar; Montreal; Best Operadora; Conexões; Localiza; Ertour; UP Hotéis; Revista Destinos, Sebrae, among others. Representing the region at ABAV Expo 2026 were Edson Luiz de Oliveira (Didi), commercial director of GuiadeMarau.com; Gal Andrade, owner of Pousada Villa Mares; journalist Luzia Moraes; and Ailana Alves, businesswoman in the Vila de Algodões region. And Úrsula Montes, owner of Pousada Terra Mar Way and Tourism Ambassador. The group participated, on Friday, October 2nd, in a program that brought together important names in the sector, including Rogério Ribeiro Pereira, president of ABAV Bahia, who presented the certificates. The initiative of ABAV Bahia, in partnership with businesswoman Úrsula Montes, gained relevance precisely because it inserts the promotion of a regional destination within one of the largest business and networking environments in Brazilian tourism. The action also had the collaboration of Pousada Terra Mar Way, Guia de Maraú, Villa Mares Pousada and SHABC – the Lodging and Food Syndicate of Camamu Bay, as well as journalist Luzia Moraes.
