Twenty-six paintings
and eight sculptures that will make up a great showcase of current Andalusian
art, among which, logically, we find very diverse styles and techniques.
Under the title
Andaluz.es, the exhibition includes paintings and sculptures by the most
renowned Andalusian artists related to the AEPE, with a very high artistic
level in which the identity of each of the participating artists is respected,
all of them with consolidated careers and recognition not only local and
national, but also international.
In the Exhibition
Hall of the C.C. La Vaguada, a renovated space adapted to current cultural demand,
which offers avant-garde programming and shows a diversity of really
interesting artists, the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors has
managed to bring together some of the best established figures of Andalusian
artistic talent, in a project that has been carried out by the Delegate of the
AEPE of Córdoba, Francis Arroyo Ceballos, and Miguel Rodríguez.
The artists selected
for this first exhibition are Arroyo Ceballos, Rubén Belloso, Diego Canca,
Cecilio Chaves, Fernando Devesa, José Domínguez, Francisco Escalera, Andrés
García Ibáñez, Paco Lara, José Manuel Martínez Pérez, Josefa Medina, Pepe
Puntas, Eva Riquelme, Miguel Rodríguez Núñez, María José Ruiz, Carmen Sánchez
Ruda, Martín Sati, José María Serrano, Noé Serrano and Francisco Vera Muñoz.
In Andaluz.es the
conception of each artist is shown articulated as a constellation of views on
the present, in dialogue with the past and with a view to the future.
The AEPE has, in its
115 years of work in favor of art and culture, such outstanding annual
references as the Reina Sofía Prize for Painting and Sculpture or the Autumn
Salon among many others and in its Founding Act it includes names as relevant
in the Spanish art scene as Joaquín Sorolla, Ricardo Baroja, José Pinazo or
Joaquín Zuloaga.
