On the emblematic stage of the Newark Symphony Hall and within the framework of celebrations for Hispanic Heritage Month, a month of Hispanic heritage in which the contribution of Latinos to American life is highlighted, a special event was held chaired by the mayor of said city, Ras J. Baraka, in which, among others, the cultural artistic work of the multidisciplinary Andalusian creator Francisco Arroyo Ceballos was recognized.

On behalf of the author who could not attend due to personal reasons, Diego Muñoz (President of the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce of NEW JERSEY) received his recognition from Jaqueline Mercado Quiles (Vice Mayor of NEWARK).

The anecdote of the event was that the winner of police officer of the year had the same last name as Arroyo and posed with his recognition.

With Black November approaching and summer celebrations in the Americas, we share an experience marked by ancestry, religiosity, and sensitivity. Enabling and creating a space for the exchange of knowledge, aiming to strengthen the history of Afro-Brazilian tradition, Afoxé is committed to empowering children, youth, adults, and seniors through participatory activities, workshops, gatherings at the terreiro, and conversation circles throughout the year. Driven by the desire to keep alive the African-based tradition in music, entertainment, art, and culture, a group from the Pirajá community in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, launched the "Afoxé Relíquias Africanas" group in 2002.

With lively wings that tell the story of the Jejês, Nagôs, and Bantu peoples, realistic costumes and attire, vibrant and ancestral musicality, and a striking and organized stage presence, the bloco brings all its irreverence and connection between Africa and Latin America to the carnival circuit.

Watching the "Afoxé Relíquias Africanas" parade on the Batatinha circuit (Salvador's Historic Center) is a celebration of Afro music, dance, capoeira, and Black performances that can only be truly experienced at Salvador's Carnival—an opportunity that should be experienced by every human being on the planet.

Salvador Celestino Releases New Album "Um Sonho"

Singer Salvador Celestino released his first album in 2021, titled "Minha História" (My Story), and now, on September 26th, at the Renato Russo Theater at CEU Cidade Dutra, he released his second. Maagnos DJ transforms the streets of Araripina into a stage with a special edition of Maagnos Folia

Those who visited Araripina, Pernambuco, last Saturday (23) witnessed a unique moment: the city stopped to watch Maagnos Folia, this time in a nostalgic version performed aboard the imposing Carreta Popstar. The project, conceived by Maagnos DJ (DANILO MÁGNO), was born with the goal of uniting music, energy, and good memories. Last Thursday (24), Tok de Empreendedorismo Magazine celebrated its first anniversary at the Fluzão Construção auditorium in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro.
